Assalamu'alaykum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
To all prospective parents,
Enrol your child at a school where the excellence of Islamic teaching and Australian education are integrated to create a positive and safe learning environment in which they will be challenged intellectually, spiritually, mentally, and physically with extensive opportunities to help them achieve their full potential. There are still spots available to enrol your child for this year.
At Muhammadiyah Australia College, we believe that every child is unique, possess different capabilities and skills, and all of them should be given the opportunity to access the best Islamic and Australian education can offer. During Week 1 at the College, our students were examined by the Head of Islamic Studies to gauge their makhārij (pronunciation of the Arabic letters), reading proficiency & fluency, and finally their knowledge of the tajwīd rules.
During Week 2 (the present week), our students were assigned their Qur’ān class and Qur’ān teacher, as per their individual needs and level. Many students began their journey in learning to recite the Noble Qur’ān for the very first time! (Alḥamdulillah!) We strongly believe in “quality over quantity.” Our Iqra’, Qur’ān, and Tajwīd classes are divided into focused groups guided by one or 2 teachers. We ensure every group are kept small with a maximum of 5 students per group so each student will have more than enough time of one-to-one teaching with their teachers.
We provide also extra Iqra’ and Qur’ān classes from 8AM-8.50AM (Monday to Friday), as well as from 3.20PM to 4PM (Monday to Friday) as a means of support for our students, both for those who need a bit of extra help and for those who want to keep excelling at learning the Qur’ān. If you are interested in finding more about our Qur’ān & Ḥifẓ program, as well as our Islamic Studies curriculum, please feel free to attend our Quran and Islamic Studies Information Session this Friday, the 11th of February, start from 5PM. This invitation is not only for the parents whose children are already enrolled with us, but also to any parents who have children at Primary School age and want the best for them in both Islamic and mainstream education. Muhammed Edwars Principal of Muhammadiyah Australia College (1-3 Killarney Drive, Melton)
On the 31st of January 2022, We welcomed our inaugural students and their parents to Muhammadiyah Australia College at the Melton campus by holding a special assembly followed by a morning tea. All praise due to Allah, through Whose blessing and mercy has permitted us to obtain a Certificate of School Registration from the Victorian Registration & Qualifications Authority (VRQA) for Muhammadiyah Australia College's (MAC) on Tuesday, the twenty first of December, 2021.
This monumental achievement is the culmination of countless hours of work, toil, and is only possible because of the contribution of many people, from multiple countries and time zones.
Firstly, and most especially, we would like to acknowledge and express our deepest and sincerest gratitude to the Central Committee (Pimpinan Pusat) of Muhammadiyah under the leadership of Prof. Haedar Nashir and Mr. Dahlan Rais. Their professional support, trust, and guidance were critical to the success of this project and we would not have achieved this without their assistance. We are also thankful to the entire Muhammadiyah organization for their financial assistance and philosophical support and guidance in realizing this goal. May Allah generously reward you for your critical contribution to the success of this project.
Secondly, we would like to express our thanks to the Special Branch of Muhammadiyah and Aisyiyah (PCIM/PCIA) in Australia for the hard work and support provided to the Executive Team. We were able to meet the appropriate standards and requirements of the VRQA to register Muhammadiyah Australia College for its inaugural academic year only because of your support on the ground. To Ustadz Hamim Jufri, Ms. Anita Saijah, Mr. Teuka Nanta Seutia, Mr. Wahyu Wardono, Ms. Rini Susanti, Mr Alfinur Halim, Mr. Muhamad Abduh, and Dr. Mahabub Alam; may Allah grace you with reward for your important contribution to this success.
There are many others who have made significant contributions which cannot be mentioned by name as there are so many. We want to thank you and ask Allah, God the Almighty, to reward you for your effort in this story. Your help will always be remembered and our thanks are eternal.
This is not the end of the journey for MAC. This is merely the beginning of more hard work. With your blessing, we will strive to continue this journey and realize our collective dream to become a 'Centre of Excellence' in which Islamic values and modern Australian Education are integrated and delivered in a safe, supportive, inclusive, and peaceful environment.
Please continue to support and pray for us as we continue this journey,
May Allah bless and guide us in all affairs - always.
