Welcome from the Principal

Assalamu'alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

It is with great pleasure to welcome and introduce you to Muhammadiyah Australia College. I feel humbled and grateful to be appointed as the inaugural Principal of what will be, in sha Allah, a  vibrant and wonderful school. With the support from the Board of Directors, our staff, and collaboration with parents and others in the college community, I am committed to realise our vision to become a centre of excellence in which Islamic values and Australian education are integrated and delivered in a safe, supportive, inclusive, and peaceful environment.

Our College values will infuse all college activities to realise that vision. The Islamic faith, respect and perseverance in pursuing excellence will create a positive and safe learning culture and environment which will challenge our students intellectually, spiritually, mentally and physically with extensive opportunities to help them achieve their full potential. Our other values: Innovative – learning from real life problems and seeking creative solutions, Entrepreneurship – developing skills and confidence required in a competitive market, and Enlightenment – encouraging contribution by all for the betterment of the community will prepare students to become upstanding citizens who embody the values of Islam in fashion that contributes to the broader Australian community.

At Muhammadiyah Australia College, we strive to provide quality, meaningful and relevant Islamic education for your children as the basis for their character formation and ensure to deliver the Australian Curriculum as prescribed by ACARA in terms of content and standards. We provide education that emphasises the importance of place that includes recognition of the Traditional Owners of the land. We will create a positive and safe learning culture and environment inside and outside of the College hours by engaging the broader community.

The students will be educated in an exciting, challenging and positive atmosphere where each child is taught and encouraged to enhance wellbeing, overcome challenges and nurture positive relationships. Our College places a strong emphasis on building solid foundations in Literacy and Numeracy and strengthening them through Inquiry Based Learning to give them the opportunity to solve problems from multi-disciplines and develop a high level of thinking, collaboration, communication and the use of Digital Technologies.

Islamic teaching will feature not only as the subjects taught as part of the curriculum and extra-curricular activities but more importantly will be embodied and reflected in the way we run the college, including the way we interact with each other as the college community. Our Islamic programs will teach our students how to read and memorise the Quran, understand its message in terms of aqidah, ibadah and akhlaq; and practice them in their lives.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website, I hope that you will also take the time to visit our school and meet me and our other staff. We are looking forward to educating your children in 2022.

Please call or email the school for any further inquiry.

May Allah bless you and your family
